Considering a future career in the military service? Our Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) has over sixty-five years of experience training motivated students to serve as leaders in the United States Navy and Marine Corps. As a naval cadet (or midshipman) at Penn, you still get to have a full college experience while pursuing the requirements to complete training for the military. All ROTC students are encouraged to engage in campus life, through activities like varsity sports, student government, and clubs. Students have the option to pursue futures in the Navy, as a Nurse, or in the Marines.
Our Naval ROTC community in Philadelphia is in a consortium with Drexel University, Temple University, and Villanova University—meaning a local network of opportunities is open to you.
If you’re interested in the Air Force ROTC, Penn partners with St. Joseph University to provide military science courses that would enable you to earn a commission in the Air Force while satisfying your degree requirements at Penn.
