Welcome, Admitted Class of 2029!

After months of anticipation and careful review of more than 72,000 applications, today we had the privilege of extending an official Quaker welcome to our newest Regular Decision admits!

With this milestone, the University of Pennsylvania has now completed the applicant review process for the Class of 2029—welcoming an extraordinary group of students into the College of Arts & Sciences, the School of Engineering and Applied Science, the School of Nursing, and the Wharton School. This year’s admitted class brings a wide range of experiences, perspectives, and creativity to campus, and we are in awe of their accomplishments, resilience, and spirit.

The Class of 2029 includes students admitted through QuestBridge Match, Early Decision, and Regular Decision. In total, we reviewed over 72,000 applications—the largest first-year applicant pool in Penn’s history! This year’s admitted students also represent Penn’s largest cohort from the city of Philadelphia, as well as students from all 50 states, over 100 countries, and U.S. territories including Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, and the Mariana Islands, along with military APO students around the world.

What stands out most about this class? Their boundless curiosity, enthusiasm for making our world more sustainable, and commitment to making a positive impact. Through their applications, they shared their academic interests, the challenges they’ve overcome, and the ways they’ve contributed to their families and their communities, already sparking revolutionary change around the world.

Additionally, every applicant also took part in Penn’s unique tradition of writing a thank-you note as part of their applications, offering a glimpse into the inspiring relationships and moments of gratitude that have shaped their journeys.

Each of these students embodies the spirit of Penn: a dynamic blend of intellectual curiosity, determination, and joy. We can’t wait to see them bring their talents to campus this fall.

Hurrah, hurrah for the Class of 2029—welcome to Penn! 🎉
