Hurrah for the First Members of Penn’s Class of 2029!

Congratulations to the first members of Penn’s Class of 2029! After carefully reviewing more than 9,500 applications, we extended an official Quaker welcome to Early Decision students today.

The students admitted through early decision join a record number of QuestBridge Match scholars we welcomed on December 2nd to make up the first half of the Class of 2029! These remarkable individuals have shared their stories of personal accomplishment, unwavering perseverance, and expressions of gratitude through their applications, leaving us in awe. Whether tackling pressing problems, building bridges (literally and figuratively!), or jamming out in rock bands, the earliest members of the Class of 2029 have made meaningful contributions to the people and world around them.

They’ll be joining us from across the globe, representing 64 countries, including 48 U.S. states, D.C., Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Mariana Islands, and our home here in Philadelphia. With them, they bring a breadth of new experiences, allowing for different viewpoints, novel ideas, and unique traditions to fill our classrooms, student organizations, and residence halls across campus and our four undergraduate schools: the College of Arts and Sciences, Penn Engineering, the Wharton School, and the School of Nursing.

We are thrilled to welcome our newest Quakers, applaud their many accomplishments, and eagerly anticipate the arrival of the rest of their classmates in the spring. Hurrah, hurrah for the Penn Class of 2029!
