Penn LGBT Center

One of Penn’s six cultural resource centers, The Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) Center cultivates a campus climate where all students, regardless of their gender or sexual identity, can live authentically.

The Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) Center, one of the oldest and most active programs of its kind in the country, enriches the experience and fosters the success of Penn’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender students and their allies. All are welcome! The Center provides a variety of services throughout the year for and concerning Penn’s queer student, faculty and staff community, including assisting faculty, staff, and alumni in their efforts to serve students. The Center works to increase the general Penn community’s awareness, understanding, and acceptance of its sexual and gender minority members through outreach and education, supportive services for individuals and campus organizations, and advocacy for sensitive subjects, inclusive University policies and practices.

The LGBT Center is a safe, welcoming environment that allows you to explore your identity and sexuality through an intersectional lens and social justice framework. The center maintains an open-door policy that focuses on education, support, and advocacy through organizational advising, leadership development, event co-sponsorship, access to Alumni, event and conference programming, and mentorship opportunities.
